On Appreciating your own Photography
I have always been into photography as a hobby. Ever since my dad bought me a point and shoot in high school. I remember buying these phtography guides from CNA, every month you would get a new one that you could slot into a file (The gifts were awesome too). It’s always just been a hobby that i do when i have the time. Other then a brief stint where my Black & White prints were...

Hackerspace in Pretoria
A while back i started a group on Facebook, in the hopes of starting up a hackerspace in Jozi. Due to a lack of interest from members (only had about 10 or so) the project got canned. I think i was a bit too early, and most people in ZA had not yet heard of Arduino hacking etc. There was some activity at the time in Durban but really really limited. In any case, looks like ZA finally has...
The trailer for material is out starring...
Been following this movie for a while, the trailer has just been released. While the last movie from Ronnie Aptekar (Jeruslema), was bit contrived and slow at times, im hoping this will be much better. Looks like it has a lot of emotional scenes, i got goose bumps watching the trailer. Dont forget to like Material The Movie on facebook as well. Your thoughts?

Confessions of a (ex) book hoarder
I read this with some amusement, why? As i have been there. I once hoarded books. It took me a while but my will was eventually broken by neccasity. 2011 was the first year that i actually got rid of some books. This hoarding was so bad i actually found a copy of ‘Flash 4 Bible’. Flash 4 was released in 1999 (Yes i know, i would prob never have used it ever again!) I filled...

As a kid i grew up reading both TIN TIN & Asterix & Oblix (P.s When are we going to see a really good Asterix and Oblix Movie). Every other week i would borrow one of these from the library, i must have read every single one released, several times over.

Just read this on Freakanomics: A recent study in the Journal of Finance by Zhi Da and Paul Gao of the University of Notre Dame shows that data from public Google searches can be used to beat the stock market by up to ten percentage points per year. Similar findings were released last month by researchers at the University of Kansas. The abstract for the research states: We propose a new...

SAHUC Bullying
Listen, this behavior is disgusting. The guy is totally right, there is no policy document, once a ‘regulatory’ body start favouring using tactics such as this to favour certain members, they loose all credibility. suliman_patel.mp3 Listen on Posterous

I don’t think any company would want something like this. Actually make that, any smart company. You would more then likely just piss of the users since they never actually followed you.
